Phil Yates is a Senior Advisor of Irving Place Capital. He focuses on investment opportunities in the packaging sector. Prior to joining Irving Place Capital in 2007, Mr. Yates was Chairman and CEO of Graham Packaging Company, Inc., a global provider of rigid plastic packaging, and has 35 years of experience. During his time eight year tenure as CEO, he drove sales from $500 million to $2.5 billion and was responsible for initiating industry-wide changes through the development of new packaging technologies. Mr. Yates served in the Army National Guard from 1970 to 1976.
